There are so many ways that you can get involved and make a difference. We would like the Virtual World Society to explore how to use virtual and augmented reality to solve pervasive problems in the real world. To do this we are building a community of thought leaders to challenge and inspire all of us, stoke our imaginations, young and old, to create these solutions. We can do it. Below are some samples of how people found simple innovations to challenging problems.
Here are a few examples of elegant solutions by small groups:
Eagle Eyes is a technology developed by professor Jim Gips that is a Turning point for severely disabled children to connect with the world.
Alive Inside is a documentary feature about Music and Memory bringing humanity to Alzheimers
Simiosys is using storytelling and mixed reality to assist people with Aphasia to reconnect with their use of language and ability to tell stories.
