The objective is to play a key role in shaping the future of digital experiences, focusing on developing the Metaverse ethically and responsibly. This includes prioritizing privacy, user safety, and considering its overall societal impact. Helsinki XR Center is very excited to share this mission and initiate a new collaboration with Virtual World Society for building an inclusive, accessible and sustainable future for everyone through immersive reality technologies.

Cherokee Nation, Oklahoma, USA
From 2021 through 2023, the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians collaborated with the Virtual World Society (VWS) on a pilot project of HomeSpark, a family-based deployment strategy to use emerging technology to enhance informal learning in the home. HomeSpark was an idea developed by Dr. Thomas Furness, the grandfather of Virtual Reality and the Founder of the Virtual World Society. The VWS was created to inspire, guide, and enable humanity to thrive and create positive impact through emerging technologies.
